If you’re looking to get your children’s book published, I’ve got one tip for you: don’t be afraid to take risks!

As an author, it can be tempting to stay within the confines of what is expected and maintain a safe approach. But when it comes down to it, there’s nothing like taking a daring risk that pays off in the end. I know this from personal experience.

When I wrote my first children’s book, I was incredibly nervous about pushing outside of the traditional boundaries of kid-lit writing. Would publishers reject me? What if readers didn’t connect with my story?

Despite all these doubts swirling around in my head, something kept telling me not to give up on pursuing a unique angle. So I submitted my manuscript—and boy, am I glad that I did! My book ended up being selected by one of the top publishing houses out there—talk about taking a chance paying off!
